Above the Line has extensive production expertise producing original medical programming. Two projects stand out.
The Cutting Edge series which consisted of 3 one hour specials “Beating Breast and Prostate Cancer”, “Fighting Fat and Obesity” and Attacking Heart Disease was produced, written and directed by ATL principal John Rice who worked with the top 10 hospitals and doctors in America such as the Mayo Clinic, Mass General, Cedars-Sinai/ LA, NYU Cornell Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic, The Texas Heart Institute and many others. The Cutting Edge series aired primetime on CBS owned and operated stations and the Hearst and Gannett station groups.
The Newborn Channel is a patient education network in over 1200 hospitals nationwide. ATL is the preeminent supplier with many hours of original documentary/ instructional programs targeted to new Mom’s as well as the creation of all network talk show/ promo segments that bridge the 8 hour programming wheel.
It also produced for the network custom, sponsored programming such as the Johnson and Johnson Baby Hour and Diapering 101 for Huggies that won a prestigious Out-of-Home Network Award.
ATL has also made programming for numerous corporate medical and science firms such as Genzyme, Thermo Fischer, Honeywell and others.
